1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser on your first visit. On later visits, the browser sends these files back to the website, letting it recognize your preferences or active session. Cookies contain no viruses and do not run code on your device.

SC MEGASUNCONCEPT SRL uses cookies on megasunconcept.ro in accordance with Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. Categories of cookies used

2.1. Strictly necessary (functional) cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to work and cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality. They do not require your consent.

• megasun-cookie-consent
  Purpose: remembers your cookie choice (accepted / declined), so the consent banner does not reappear on every visit.
  Type: localStorage (stored locally in the browser, not sent to the server).
  Duration: persistent, until manually cleared from the browser.
• sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token (prefixed with the Supabase project ID)
  Purpose: authenticates and keeps your MegaSun account session active. Without these cookies, account, booking, and loyalty program features are unavailable.
  Type: HTTP cookie, httpOnly, secure.
  Duration: sb-access-token — 1 hour (renewed automatically); sb-refresh-token — 7 days from the last login.

2.2. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

These cookies are enabled only after you explicitly consent through the banner shown on your first visit. If you declined analytics cookies, they are not stored in your browser.

• _ga
  Purpose: uniquely identifies a user (anonymous ID) to distinguish visitors and calculate website usage statistics (visitor count, pages visited, session duration). Data is sent to Google LLC.
  Duration: 2 years from the last visit to the website.
• _gid
  Purpose: identifies a user over the course of a day; used for daily traffic reports.
  Duration: 24 hours.
• _ga_[ID]
  Purpose: maintains the Google Analytics 4 session state.
  Duration: 2 years.

Data collected through Google Analytics is anonymized at the IP address level (IP anonymization enabled) and is used solely to improve the website. We do not use Google Analytics' remarketing or behavioral advertising features.

3. Third-party cookies

The website may embed Google Maps (to show the salon's location). By opening the map, Google may store its own cookies in accordance with its privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw or change your consent for analytics cookies at any time using one of the following methods:

• Delete the megasun-cookie-consent key from your browser's local storage: open Developer Tools (F12) → Application → Local Storage → megasunconcept.ro, and remove the entry. On your next visit, the consent banner reappears and you can make a new choice.
• Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete all cookies from Settings → Privacy. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect account features and online bookings.
• Google Analytics Opt-out add-on: available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, it blocks browsing data from being sent to Google Analytics regardless of the consent given on the website.
